Kayla Marlene Bethard

Kayla Marlene Bethard, 25, and Infant daughter Alli Nicole Bethard of Morrisonville, IL passed away Monday, October 24, 2005 at 10:05 PM at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield from injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident. 

She was born on April 29, 1980 in Taylorville, IL the daughter of David E. and Gloria M. (Painter) Sheedy. She married Shawn V. Bethard on August 23, 2003 at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville. Preceding her in death were her great grandparents; maternal and paternal grandfathers; 2 Cousins. 

Kayla was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church. She graduated from Lincoln Land Community College and University of Illinois at Springfield. She was a Youth Advocate for the Christian County Truancy Office and also was a substitute teacher. 

Survivors: Husband, Shawn V. Bethard of Morrisonville, IL; Parents, David and Gloria Sheedy of Morrisonville, IL; Brother, Brian (wife, Kathy) Sheedy of Morrisonville, IL; Grandmothers, Catherine "Mick" Sheedy of Morrisonville, IL and Antoinette Painter of Taylorville, IL; Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. 

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 PM Thursday, October 27 at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 28 at 10:00 AM at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville, with Rev. Chris Comerford officiating. Burial will follow in St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Morrisonville. 

In memory of Kayla M. Bethard memorials may be made to Coats for Kids or Morrisonville Community Ambulance. 

Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville is in charge of arrangements.
