L. Nanette "Nan" Umek

L. Nanette "Nan" Umek, 81 of Panama passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.

She was born on October 4, 1931 at Butler the daughter of Clarence and Opal (Ward) Reddick. She married William Umek on July 8, 1950 at Hillsboro; he preceded her in death on November 18, 2009. Also preceding her in death were her parents, 2 sisters, Jacqueline Miller and Sonya Leach, 2 cousins, Shirley Schmidt and Tom McBroom.

Nan was a homemaker and a member of Panama VFW Post 6628 Auxiliary.

Survivors include: Son, William L. "Bill" (Brenda) Umek of Hillsboro, IL; Grandson Zachary Umek of Hillsboro, IL; Brother, Michael (Judy) Reddick of Raymond, IL; 1 niece, 2 nephews and many great nieces and nephews; Special Friend, Mary Lowe, and her girls, Ann Marie and Mary Ellen.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Union Cemetery in Panama. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery Association.
