Lawrence J. (Larry) Lynch, 96, Pana, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 9:20 A.M. at Moweaqua Nursing Home, Moweaqua, Ill. He was born on June 23, 1910 in Pana, Ill. to Lawrence J. and Lydia Georgia Lynch. Lawrence married the love of his live, Velma Johnson Lynch. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by Alice Palmer, Sister of Casper, Wyoming and nieces and nephews.
Lawrence graduated from Pana High School where he participated in Track for 4 years and held the State Record for running the 440 relay race, and held that record for many years. He was a Track Star. Lawrence attended one year at Ill. Weslyn University, Bloomington, IL He retired from International Minerals.
Lawrence and Velma lived their later years at the Moweaqua Nursing Home.
He was preceded by 2 brothers and 1 sister
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Moweaqua Care Center, Moweaqua, Ill .Cremation Rites were accorded.
