Lester Lee Devall

Lester L. Devall passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 9:10 AM at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care. Lester is survived by his son Mark L. Devall, his brothers Carl and Eddie Devall, his sisters Lucille Taylor, Retha (Ralph) Elam, Mary (George) Grotts, and Faye (William) McEachern. He married Mafalda Jean Diveley on September 30, 1956. She died December 9, 2011. He grew up and lived in the rural Vandalia area all of his life. He graduated from Vandalia High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from Oct. 1956 to Oct 1958. He worked in the steel industry in Granite City, IL for 14 years and then spent 19 years as a distributor for Marathon in Vandalia. He was member of the Mulberry Grove United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Mulberry Grove United Methodist Church.
