Linda K. Staten

Linda Kay Staten, 66, of rural Taylorville, passed away at 12:53 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Ill.

She was born August 6, 1949 the daughter of Russell and Marjorie (Westbrook) Brown. She married Michael E. Staten at Harvard Park Baptist Church in Springfield, IL October 2, 1968. He preceded her in death in January of 2009.

Linda worked as a caregiver with Addus Home Health Care. She loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are a daughter Michelle (John) Morrissey, two sons: Michael E. Staten, Jr. (companion Tricia Altman) and Mark Staten (Companion Jordan Taglioli) all of Taylorville; eight grandchildren Michael (Courtney) Staten III, Stevie Staten, Brayden Jacobs, Chloe Morrissey, Colten Morrissey, Mavis Staten, Matthew Staten, Abigail Staten along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Ill. Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
