Linda M. Russell

Linda Mae Russell, 70, of Chatham, IL formerly of Palmer, IL passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 6:00 PM at her home.

She was born November 2, 1935 in Litchfield, IL the daughter of James and Narcissa (McConathy) McElroy.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Russell attended Central Technical Institute and became a flight attendant working out of New York City. She worked for the State of Illinois for 22 years while attending Lincoln Land Community College and Sangamon State University graduating with a degree in Business Administration. She also worked for Freeman United Coal Company as an underground coal miner.

Survivors: Daughter, Kathleen (husband, Randy) Jackson of Chatham, IL; Son, Brian Hancock of Springfield, IL; 2 grandchildren, R.J. and Brandon Jackson.

Friends may call on Friday, December 30 from 1 :00-2:00 PM at Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30 at 2:00 PM at Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery, Palmer.

In memory of Linda Mae Russell memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
