Louis Carol Worker, 73 of Sorento died on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 10:10 PM in the Anderson Hospital, Marysville, IL. He was born on August 20, 1937 in Sorento to Herbert and Ethel Collmann Worker. He married Myrna Hemken. He worked for Granite City Steel for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of the Walshville Masonic Lodge #475 and Sorento Baptist Church. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy.

Surviving are his sons, Steve Worker of Litchfield, Brian (Elaine) Worker of Vandalia, Mike (Dena) Worker of Pawnee, IL, Brent (Laura) Worker of Sorento, IL; Daughters, Gayle (Kenny) Stevenson of Pocahontas, IL and Kim (Paul) Hancock of Hamel; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Myrna Worker, Son, Daniel Worker, and Brother, Norman Worker.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home, Sorento. Masonic Rites will be held at 7:45 PM in the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Perfetti Funeral Home, Sorento with Rev. Rudy Elam officiating. Burial will be held in Kirkland Cemetery, Sorento, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Disabled American Veterans.
