Louverda M. "Birdie" Marcus, 49, of Chandler, OK, formerly of Taylorville, died at 5:45 a.m.
Tuesday, October 30, 2007, in Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born November 27, 1957, in Taylorville, the daughter of Pete and Elizabeth McQuiggin Warren. She married Lloyd W. Marcus on June 26, 1976, in Taylorville. She was a CNA, working in nursing homes and home health care.
Surviving are her husband; son, Timothy Marcus of Chandler, OK; brothers: Richard (wife Hilda) Pounds of Taylorville and Joseph (wife Amy) Pounds of Danville; sisters:
Kristine Colclasure of Nebraska, Diane Winchester of Morrisonville, and Mona (husband Terry) Ream md Chrystal Pounds, both of Taylorville; step-sister, Mary Irene Phillips of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; step-father, Dale Warren; sister, Nancy Kevie; and brother, Doug.
Private family visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, in Shafer Funeral Home. Cremation rites were accorded.
