Lovetta "Betty" Joan Jarman

Lovetta Joan "Betty" Jarman, 81 of Sorento passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 6:45 PM at The Glenwood in Greenville.

She was born on December 24, 1930 at Sorento the daughter of Oliver Wendell and Cleda Marie (Pfister) Reed. She married Herschel D. Jarman on July 24, 1948 at Pocahontas, AR; he preceded her in death in 2000. Her parents, Brother , Wallace Reed and Great grandson, Ivan Smith also preceded her in death.

Betty was a homemaker and loved shopping. she was a member of Sorento Assembly of God Church and Kessinger American Legion Post 713 Auxiliary.

Survivors include: Sons, Gerald "Jerry" Jarman of Tampa, FL and Arthur (Keiko) Jarman of Brighton, IL; Daughters, Rena Jarman of Greenville, IL, Gail (Darwin) Royer of Panama, IL, Debi (Darrell) File of Sorento, IL and Judith (Sheldon) Ray of Magnolia, TX; 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; Brother, Leroy (Lois) Reed of Murrayville, GA; Sister, Shirley Neal of Burkburnett, TX; Many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Sorento Assembly of God Church with Revs. James Patterson and Scott Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento.

Memorials are suggested to Bond County Hospice or Bond County Transit.
