Lucy B. Calufetti

Lucy B. Calufetti, 84, of Panama, IL passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 2:20 PM at Hillsboro Health Care Center.

She was born January 15, 1922 in Panama the daughter of Batista and Lucia (Serre) Bonetto. She married Dominic D. Calufetti on April 12, 1941 in St. Louis, MO; he preceded her in death on May 19, 1973. Also preceding her in death were her parents; 2 Sisters, Ann Kish and Rosina McCracken; 1 Brother, John Bonetto.

Mrs. Calufetti was owner and operator of Calufetti’s Lounge in Panama for 26 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Panama.

Survivors: Son, Dennis Calufetti of Murphysboro, IL; 2 Brothers, James (wife, Sally) Bonetto Sr. of Panama, IL and Frank Bonetto of Manteno, IL; 1 Sister, Catherine Bertolotti of Griffith, IN”; Granddaughter, Carmen Jones of DeSoto, IL; Grandson, Dominic Calufetti of Murphysboro, IL; 3 Great Grandchildren, Taylor, Jake and Carleigh; Many Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday, October 14 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14 at 11:00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home with Father Ted Schelich officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Panama.

Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama is in charge of arrangements.
