Lyle Behl

Son of Edward A. Behl and Alta E. Christy. Lyle E. Behl, 75, of Taylorville passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his residence.

He was born September 13, 1932, in Owaneco, the son of Edward A. and Alta E. Christy Behl. He was a retired supervisor at Commonwealth Edison. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Moose, VFW, and American Legion.

Surviving are his companion, Helen Wattelet of Taylorville; sister, Eileen (Bill) Tex of Owaneco; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, with Rev. Charles Sward officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Assumption.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Shafer Funeral Home.
