M. Geraldine Pruett

M. Geraldine Pruett, 92, of Clifton, formerly of Talorville died Monday, January 9, 2006 at 9:15 A.M. at Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home in Clifton.

She was born on October 10, 1913 in Fayette County, Illinois to Henry and Stella Haynes. She married Leslie E. Pruett on July 2, 1932 in Vandalia. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Taylorville Christian Church, Mother of Twins Club, and active in Sewing Club.

She is survived by her daughters: Betty M. Guthrie (husband David) of Clinton, IA, Susan C. Vegovisch (husband Michael) of Clifton, sons: Terry L. Pruett and wife Judy of Columbia, MO, Jerry L. Pruett (wife Carla) of Houston, TX, sister-in-law: Mary Pruett of Blue Mound, IL, 14 grandchildren including Nicole Lanzotti and Ryan Gleason both of Taylorville, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers including Sidney, Hamell, and Ivan Haynes, one sister and two sons at infancy: Kenneth and Keith Pruett; 2 grandchildren: Sean Guthrie and Loren Mess.

Funeral service will be held at Taylorville Christian Church, Taylorville on Friday, January 13, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Dick Wamsley officiating. Burial will be held at Brownstown, IL.

Visitation will be held at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville on Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
