Marles E. Province, 79, of Panama, IL passed away Monday, February 28, 2005 at 3:00 PM at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on April 2, 1925 in Blytheville, Arkansas the son of Miles and Nell (Hunter) Province. He married Julie T. Veres on January 12, 1948 in Kaiser, Arkansas; she preceded him in death on May 6, 2003. Also preceding him in death were his parents, step son, Ronald West and brother, Eddie Province.
Mr. Province was a steelworker at Granite City Steel, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Donnellson Masonic Lodge.
Survivors: Son, Michael (wife, Laura) Province of Panama, IL; Daughter, Barbara (husband, Joe) DiDonato of Lake Charles, LA; 7 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 3 from 9:30-11:00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3 at 11 :00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama, with Rev. Dave Trover officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Panama.
