Marvin S. Bost

Services for Marvin S. Bost, formerly of Morrisonville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the United Methodist Church there with the Rev. Stephen Burwell officiating.

Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Moffitt Funeral Home at Morrisonville.

The family suggests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society, St. John’s Hospice or the Morrisonville United Methodist Church.

Mr. Bost, of Taylorville, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 1999, in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield. he was 75 years old on February 23. He was a life-long farmer in the Morrisonville area until he retired in 1992. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Morrisonville and a graduate of Raymond High School in the class of 1942. He was born in Atwater, a son of Dwight and Alice Snell Bost. He married June Billiter on March 1, 1945, in the United Methodist Church of Morrisonville. She survives.

Surviving also are a son, Eric Bost of Taylorville; daughter, Marla Bost and husband Tim Lyerla of Austin, Texas; brother, Maynard Bost of Raymond; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Others surviving include a daughter in law, Rita Green wood of Morrisonville. Preceding him in death were a son, Larry Bost; twin sister, Margaret Bost; and a brother, Lt. Murray Bost.
