Mary Lou Cowen

Mary Lou Cowen, 75 a resident of Indianapolis, IN since 1959 passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008 in Indianapolis. 

She was born November 17, 1934 in New Douglas, IL the daughter of Justin and Gladys Depew. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Gerald Depew. 

Mary Lou was a graduate of Edwardsville High School. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis and Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fort Myers, FL. She loved traveling with her husband Neil and wintering in Fort Myers, FL. She was active in the Seven Lakes Senior Golf & Tennis Community in Fort Myers where she was a past two-term President of the Women's Club and active in the Red Hats Society. 

Survivors: Her husband of 54 years, Neil Cowen; Son Greg (Susie) Cowen; Daughters, Kathryn (Steve) Durbin and Karen (Brent) McNamara; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Mary Kate and Jacob Cowen; Emily and Kyle Durbin; Myles and Merrick McNamara; Brothers, Kenneth Bryan, John, Bob, Bill and Melvin Depew; Sisters, Sharon Johns and Patricia Halleman. 

Friends may call on Tuesday, April 1 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at 10:00 AM at the Perfetti Funeral Home with the Rev. James Howie officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. 

Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.
