Mary Vail

Mary Vail, 94, of Panama, IL passed away Monday, October 9, 2006 at 1:55 PM at her home.

She was born August 15, 1912 in Andreis, Italy the daughter of Joseph and Amelia (Bucco) Piazza. She married Benjamin F. “Frank” Vail on May 8, 1937 at Granite City, IL; he preceded her in death on July 11, 1974. Also preceding her in death were her parents; Sister, Theresa Matz; Brothers, Merico and Gene Piazza; Step Son, David Vail.

Mrs. Vail worked as a seamstress in retail clothing and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Panama.

Survivors: Step Sons, Roger Vail of Granite City, IL and Donald Vail of Lake Worth, FL; 2 Step Grandchildren; 3 Step Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Marcilene “Marcie” McCoy of Montville, NJ, Toni Langford of Fenton, MO and Anne Boruff of Madison, WI; many Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call from 10:30-11:30 AM Thursday, October 12 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12 at 11:30 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home with Father Ted Schelich officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Panama.

Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama is in charge of arrangements.
