  1. Light a CandleShe was a very special lady, brought light into every room. I will miss our long chats, but one day I will see you again. Love you Melanie.

  2. Go for it, Melanie! Just one month ago, you sat with my twin brother and myself at Evangelical Church of Christ in Highland for the Marie Bimes funeral. Later we all had dinner together in the church dining hall. You were all dressed up and looking great! I still have the “reindeer” picture from Branson, Missouri a few years ago. I will miss you. Ron

  3. Light a CandleMelanie meant the world to me. I first got to know her in Summer 1983, when Mom (Carmen Erber), Virginia (Olson) and my sister, Lynne drove out to attend the Floyd Reunion at Uncle David & Aunt Armeda’s (Olson) home in Champaign, Illinois.
Over the years, through other family gatherings and phone conversations, I grew to love and respect Melanie for her devotion to family, to Christ, once again to family, and to wholesome living.
If there were more people like Melanie, this would be a better world.

    You will never be forgotten!

Love Always and Forever, Your Grateful Cousin for having known and loved you,
    Doug Erber

  5. Light a CandleCousin Melanie was such a kind soul and always upbeat! I am certainly going to miss her words of wisdom. I know she is rejoicing now in the company of all her family, friends and cousins, that have gone before her. May God bless her soul!

  6. Grateful for our visits over the years at various Floyd reunions. She was already planning the next one at the last reunion! Such a fun person to be around!
    My condolences to the family.

  7. Light a CandleI’m so glad I got to visit with her at the last reunion. She was always so sweet and supportive of my artwork and always made me smile. I will miss her and our fb messages.

  8. Light a CandleSo many wonderful and happy memories we shared together when you were in Florida. We were blessed to have you in our lives and will miss you dearly especially during the holidays. Melanie rest in peace. Heaven has gained another angel.

  9. Light a CandleMy wife and I went to GHS with Randy, great memories growing up in Greenville with Randy and a handful of other ruffians in our Comets krew. Melanie was a mother to many of us and not only put up with our hijinks but also showed by example how class, love, and patience could help us grow as kids in a small community, love and sympathies to the Bimes family and Friends
