Melvia E. Loew

Melvia E. Loew, 76 of Mt. Olive passed away at 9:54 PM on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Heritage Health in Gillespie.

She was born on March 17, 1940 at Hillsboro the daughter of Robert Henry and Geraldine Ellen (Walters) Young. She married John William Loew on June 15, 1969 at Belleville; he preceded her in death on January 5, 2014. Her parents and a brother, Melvin Young also preceded her in death.

Melvia was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include: Daughters, Alisa Loew of Wilsonville, IL and Jonette (Husband, Matt) Bellovich of Staunton, IL; Son, Phillip W. (Wife, Amanda) Loew of Litchfield, IL; 3 Grandchildren, Rikelle Taylor, Wyatt Loew and Mariska Bellovich; Brothers, Mervin Young of Arizona and Marvin Young of Atlanta, MO; Many Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento with Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento.
