Melvin Randall "Randy" Casey, 55, of Panama, died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 12:47 p.m. at St. Louis University Hospital.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 27, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Perfetti Funeral Home, Panama, with Masonic rites at 5:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Frank Loscott officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Union Cemetery at Panama.
Born Aug. 1, 1955, at Vandalia, he was the son of the late Louis and Frances (Stokes) Casey. He married Cindy C. Wecker May 2, 1987, at Donnellson and she survives.
Mr. Casey was employed as a supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of Panama V.F.W. Post #6628, and Sorento Masonic Lodge #861.
Survivors include two daughters, Jaime (husband, Neil) Province of Panama, and Tabitha (husband, Ken) Hefley of Hillsboro; two sons, Michael Casey of Gillespie, and Corey Casey of Panama; eight grandchildren, Autumn Casey, Taylor Casey, Jacob Casey, Amanda Casey, Natalie Province, Kaylee Hefley, Jacob Hefley, and Gunner Hefley; one great-grandchild, Kadin Casey; a brother, Stanley (wife, Penny) Casey of Panama; and a half sister, Janet Prazen of Utah.
