Michael Domenick Ronchetto, 65, of Palmer, IL, passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria, IL.

Michael was born June 13, 1954 in Taylorville, IL, the son of Domenick and Edith (Berta) Ronchetto.  He graduated from Morrisonville High School, followed by employment with Borg-Werner in Decatur, IL.  Michael’s home has always been Palmer, IL, where he enjoyed Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, stamp collecting, and electric model trains.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Michael is survived by his mother, Edith Ronchetto of Palmer, IL; brother, Gary (wife, Mary) Ronchetto of Morrisonville, IL; nieces, Misty Ronchetto of Morrisonville, IL, and Heidi (husband, Jon) Spyridakis of Shelby TWP, MI; great niece, Anastasia Spyridakis; and great nephews, Andreas and Antonio Spyridakis.

Private family services will be held with Sr. Rose McKeown officiating.

Interment will follow the ceremonies at Morrisonville Cemetery.

  1. Rest in peace, Mike. I’m sure Pepsi was waiting at the gates to embrace you. Will always remember going to Pepsi’s having a few drinks and talking. Miss those days. Our prayers are with you Edith.

  2. Mike was strong and he loved life. Pepsi and Edith devoted their lives to his care. We will miss seeing him sitting out front in the sunshine. He loved his  model trains. Our prayers go out to Edith, Gary and the family. Rest Mike, we will miss you. Raymond Minnis and Charlene.

  3. I think every child hood memory I had growing up in Palmer involved long talks with Mike while we sat outside and were on our way to the park. As an adult I even went back quite a few times and was happy to see him and Pepsi!!! RIP Mike!

  7. My condolences to Edith and all of Mike’s family.  Mike and I had little history, yet his gregarious nature led to a nice friendship. I loved visiting the bar and talking with Mike, Pepsi, and Edith.  He would ask about mutual friends from Kincaid and I’d do my best to give an update.  Never a complaint from him.  Rest easy Mike.

  8. I’ve only heard wonderful things about Mike. We had never met. I am sorry for his family’s loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
