Mildred M. Prasuhn

Mildred M. Prasuhn nee McFarland, age 87, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11 AM from The Greenville First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday March 27, 2017 after 9:30 AM at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bond County Humane Society or the Lemuel Rhodes Cancer Foundation.

Mildred was born on November 25, 1929 in LaGrange Township, Bond County, IL to Harland F. and Mary Livina (Mitchell) McFarland. She married Nicholas Prasuhn on October 25, 1957 in Greenville, IL. He died February 15, 2015. She is survived by her grand daughter Traci Lynn Young of St. Charles, MO, her niece Judy Hicks and her husband Reggie of Drury, MO, along with cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her daughter Melanie Young.

She grew up on the family farm north of Greenville. She and her husband lived in Carlyle, IL for about 30 years and moved back to Greenville in 1995. She moved to Vandalia two and a half years ago. She had worked at The Murray Center in Centralia and was a member of The Greenville First Presbyterian Church.
