Myrle I. Stechman

Myrle I. Stechman, 94, of Greenville formerly of Sorento passed away Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 4:14 AM at Greenville Regional Hospital.

She was born on March 20, 1911 in Walshville, IL the daughter of William Mariam and Laura (Voyles) Waters. She married Ivan A. Stechman on July 18, 1928 in Hillsboro; he preceded her in death on September 30, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents; Daughter, Viola Pieper; Sister, Geraldine Young and 2 Grandsons.

Mrs. Stechman was a homemaker and worked in retail sales. She was a member of the Sorento Methodist Church.

Survivors: Son, Norman Stechman of Greenville, IL; Daughters, Maxine File of Greenville, IL and Zylpha (husband, Joe) Meyer of Litchfield, IL; 6 Grandchildren and 2 Step Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Friends may call on Saturday, June 25 from 10:00 AM until service time at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 11 :00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home, with Rev. Elmer L. Fenton officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery, Litchfield.

Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.
