Nina Marie Grauer

Nina Marie Grauer, 78, of Litchfield, died on January 11, 2011 at 10:10 AM in Taylorville Care Center.

She was born on March 4, 1932 in West Frankfort, Illinois to Raymond and Zelma (Schrum) Dotson. She graduated Taylorville High School and Brown's Business College in Springfield, IL. She married Dorice Grauer on September 3, 1950 at First Baptist Church, Taylorville. He preceded her in death December 27, 2008.

Nina was employed as a manager of Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company in Litchfield until her retirement. She was a past president of Zonta Club, a member of the Hospital Auxiliary in Litchfield. She belonged to Beta Sigma Phi sorority, the Litchfield Country Club, and bridge club.

She enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, reading, and traveling. She loved being with family, friends, and her beloved cat, Angel.

Surviving are her sisters, Sue and husband Lynn Crites and Barbara Smith, both of Taylorville; Brother, Lee (wife, Mary Ann) Dotson of Vicksburg, MS, Sisters-In-Law, Margaret Grauer of Langleyville and Betty "Jerry" Grauer of Kincaid and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers-In-Law, Jan Phillips, Clifford Smith, Ernie, Bob, and Don Grauer.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Shafter-Perfetti Funeral Home, Taylorville with Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in Shafter-Perfetti Funeral Home.
