O. June Haberer, age 95, Crystal City, MO, formerly of Greenville, IL. passed away June 27, 2011 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. June was born in Smithboro, IL and was a 1935 graduate of Mulberry Grove High School and later beauty college in Alton, IL. Her first marriage was to Lester Spillman on October 12, 1936. He died in 1948. Her second marriage was to Raymond L. Haberer on April 26, 1954 in Carrollton, IL. He died July 8, 1993. During WW II she was a post exchange clerk at Camp Atterbury, IN and then worked at Model Glove Factory in Greenville. She then owned and operated Tip Top Beauty Shop in Greenville and later assisted her husband Raymond in the operation of the Elms Motel. She was a member of the Greenville First Christian Church and was recentley affiliated with The First United Methodist Church of Festus, MO. Survivors include her daughter Beth (Bruce) Grannemann of Festus, MO, her brother Forrest (Elva) Johnson of Vandalia, IL., her granddaughter Courtney Haberer of Maryland Heights, MO, her step granddaughter Lisa (Daniel) Hunning of Hillsboro, MO., and her step great granddaughter Kalee Hunning. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, and two sisters Dorothy Cripe and Alice Allen. Memorial contributions can be made to Shriner's Hospital, The Food Pantry of The First United Methodist Church, Festus, MO. or the charity of the donor's choice.
