Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Light a CandleI met Pat when we all played Racquetball back in the 1970’s and 80’s. I always respected her and she was a great friend. Pat was one of those people if you didn’t see each other for a time you just picked up where you left off. I just can’t tell you how upset I am to hear of this sad news. I’m glad Karen and I got to meet up with Gary and Pat in Arizona last year for lunch. It was a very happy time. Pat will be missed by everyone who knew her. She left a positive mark on everyone she knew especially me. Rest in eternal peace my friend. I will never forget you and how kind you were.

To Gary and her son Ryan you and your entire family are in our thoughts. Pat was a true treasure and all your memories with her will shine on you the rest of your lives.

  2. Light a CandleI knew Pat throughout her teaching career. I will always remember Pat & Gary’s wedding and the beautiful song “Our life has only just begun.” That proved to be true as they had many wonderful years together. I was also able to spend years with them in our winter homes in Mesa, AZ. Pat excelled in everything she did, as a wife, mother and grandmother, as a teacher, as a Union activist, and as a talented athlete. I will miss her beautiful smile and her friendship. My heart goes out to Gary, Ryan, and Kendal at this terrible loss. God bless you, Pat.

  3. Light a CandleI knew Pat from playing tennis in Mesa Regal! Pat was also a score keeper for our games; she was fun to be around and will be so so missed by many in the tennis circle..

To Gary, Ryan and her precious granddaughter Kendall I am sending my sincerest condolences.

    RIP Pat❤️🙏🌹

  4. Light a CandleDear Gary and family
So very sorry for your loss, Pat was a wonderful lady.
I knew her mostly thru our tennis days in Mesa, she was
always competitive and fun to be with on the courts.
I will miss her and feel very privileged to have known her.
    Grace Wood

  5. I am so sorry for your loss. The years pass quickly, and her passing seems too soon. I am thankful for you to have had each other as long as you have had and that you have caring family with you.

  6. Pat was a valued member of our tennis club in Mesa, AZ, where I first met her 12 years ago. She was always ready to step up and volunteer wherever needed. As a leftie, she had a powerful ground stroke and I preferred to be her partner than my opponent on the other side of the net! She was instrumental in planning an event for our tennis club in Springfield several years ago and I will never forget her hospitality. To say we are in shock would be an understatement and our hearts break for her family. May the Lord bless her and keep her and make his face shine upon her. Well done Pat, well done.

  7. Light a CandleI am so very sad to hear of her passing. Taken from us too soon. I had the pleasure of meeting Pat through tennis at Mesa Regal and I helped coach her 3.0 team for the last few years. She was a wonderful lady – always smiling and so happy. It was an absolute joy to be around her. My sincere sympathy to Gary and their family. I will miss her RIP.

  8. Light a CandleMy heart aches for Gary and family. Her loss will leave a deep hole for many who were in her life. I got to know her through AZ tennis and quickly learned she had many wicked shots. Pat, you will be missed by so many. “Hit’’m in the air, Pat”!
Deepest sympathy to family and especially Gary.

  9. Light a CandleGary and family, You are in our prayers. May you feel peace when friends pray.

  10. Light a CandleI knew Pat through tennis at Mesa Regal. She was the co-captain of our 3.0 tennis team this past season. I loved being her partner as opposed to playing on the opposite side as she had such a strong groundstroke. She was a lovely lady. I was so shocked to hear of her passing. Our sincere condolences to her husband and son and other members of her family. Rest in Peace, Pat. You will be missed.

  11. Light a CandleWe are so sad to hear of Pat’s passing. She will be greatly missed. Sending love to her family .

  14. I had the good fortune to know Pat as a tireless advocate for classroom teachers. She was very active member of the Springfield Education Association carrying out numerous roles, including as a bargaining team member, an Executive Committee member and later as a leader for the development of classroom teachers especially those new to the profession. Pat had very high standards for herself as a teacher. Her insights for improvements for the profession were creative and thoughtful.

My sincere condolences to Gary, Ryan and your extended family.

  15. We met Pat in Arizona. She was always fun to be around. She was a really good tennis player. We are so sad about Pat. She will be greatly missed. Our condolences to Gary and her family.

  17. Light a CandleMy thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time . I worked with Pat at Lindsay School – she was so well liked by staff and students .

  18. Light a CandleWhen you lose a friend you’ve loved so long, it reminds us how precious life is and to make the most of the time we have left. Love and miss you, dear Pat!❤️

  19. I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Pat’s death. I taught with her at Black Hawk, she taught our daughter at Iles and we were both members of the Lake Press Club. I rarely saw her in past years, but it was always a pleasure to have a chat with her: she was a truly lovely person who was taken too soon. I am so sorry we were out of town yesterday and missed the visitation and funeral mass. Sincere condolences to Gary, Ryan and Kendal and their extended family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Rest in Peace, Pat.

  20. Light a CandleMr. McWherter and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you during the days ahead. Having recently lost my mother, I can attest that the pain of loss is in direct correlation to the amount of love and happy times that were experienced with the loved one that can still be enjoyed through cherished memories.

  21. Light a CandleI’m so sorry for your loss. I was Pat’s student teacher at Iles. She was so kind and modeled what it meant to be a lifelong learner. I was very lucky to have learned from her.

  22. Light a CandleI met Pat in our book club in Mesa, Arizona. Lovely lady, always positive and a smile for everyone. She will be missed.
