Patsy O. Hughes

Patsy O. "Pat" Hughes, 83 of Taylorville passed away at 1:12 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 3, 1932 at Odin the daughter of Willis Jay and Ida Isabelle (Chapel) Donoho. She married Ronald Eugene Hughes on at Pocahontas, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Willis "Puz" Donoho.

Pat was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville. Pat loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors include: Her husband, Ronald E. Hughes of Taylorville, IL; Daughter, Laurie (Husband, Gene) Compton of Mattoon, IL; Sons, Rickie E. (Wife, Susan) Hughes and Kevin L. (Wife, Faye) Hughes both of Taylorville, IL and Ronnie L. (Wife, Janet) Hughes of Quinlan, TX; 11 Grandchildren; Several great grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville with Pastor Chad Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home.
