Paul Gregory Mann, 72, of Langley, OK, formerly of Taylorville, passed from this life at 11:50 a.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his home after a brave battle with cancer.

Paul was born November 14, 1951, in Taylorville the son of JoAnn Tonks (husband, William) Stone and Harold Mann, Sr. He graduated from Taylorville High School with the Class of 1969, and enlisted in the United States Army.  He proudly served our country from 1969-1973 and was a Vietnam Veteran. Paul married Debra Cohoon in 1974, and they later divorced.  He then married Donna Morris on August 24, 1983, and they enjoyed nearly 40 years of marriage.

Paul spent most of his life in Central Illinois, retiring from Guardian West in Rantoul and then relocating to Langley, OK in 2017.  He was a Harley Davidson guy, owning several throughout his life.  Paul made several cross-country trips with Donna. Paul loved Oklahoma, and enjoyed his last years of his life boating, fishing, and camping with family and friends.  He also loved his dogs.  They were always by Paul’s side.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Mann, Sr.; stepfather, William Stone; and siblings, Cheryl Mann Kneeland and Harold Mann, Jr.

Paul is survived by his wife, Donna Mann of Langley, OK; mother, JoAnn Stone of Taylorville; children, Shane (wife, Jamie) Mann of Virginia Beach, VA, Carmen Mann of Chatham, and Virginia Coontz, Austin Mann, Alliyah Mann, and Alyssa Mann, all of OK; 5 grandchildren, Madisyn, Caleb, and Cason Mann, Alexia Jones, and Jaeda Mercer; siblings, Linda Mann (husband, Ted) Fleming of Taylorville, Beverly Dameta of OK, Donna Mann Parson of OK, and Marla Mann Gooding of OK; and several nieces and nephews.

Paul’s ashes will be escorted from Oklahoma to his final resting place by three of his friends, as they ride their Harleys in honor of Paul.

Graveside ceremonies with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Pastor Don Beetem officiating.  Family and friends are invited to attend a dinner at the Evangelical Free Church in Taylorville immediately following the graveside ceremonies, to continue celebrating Paul’s life.
