Rachel R. Baccadutre, 78, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Taylorville, died Friday, December 24, 2004.
She was born April 28, 1926, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, the daughter of Cecil and Iva Smith. She married Charles Baccadutre on June 18, 1950, in Taylorville. He died June 16, 1979. She worked as a secretary of Beech Aircraft Co., Augusta High School (Kansas) and at the Mobil Oil Refinery in employee relations. She was involved with the Augusta Dinner Theatre and sorority activities. She moved to Wichita in 1979, where she worked as a realtor. She has resided in Albuquerque since 1991, where she volunteered at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and served as the volunteer board secretary. She enjoyed travel and tennis.
Surviving are her sons; Randy Baccadutre and David (wife Denise) Baccadutre, both of Albuquerque, NM; sisters: Helen McGowan and Theresa Robison both of Taylorville, and Marilyn Land of Harvel. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, in Shafer Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
