Reba Letha Krueger, 102, of Taylorville passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 4:15 p.m. at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana.

She was born July 26, 1910 at Holiday, Illinois the daughter of Jacob and Lola (Taylor) Shrake. She married Leonard L. Krueger on February 24, 1932 at Nashville, Illinois; he preceded her in death. At the age of 16 Reba was baptized in the Kaskaskia River into the Christian faith. She went to work in Effingham for the Vulcan Shoe Heel Factory. She later worked at Simplicity Sewing Factory in Taylorville, Georgia Pacific Paper Mill and Frank's Food Fair for 13 years.

Survivors include: Daughter, Glenna M. Porter of Nokomis, IL; sons, Darwin L. (wife, Sandra) Krueger and Floyd E. (wife, Mary Ann) Krueger, both of Taylorville, IL; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, David Shrake of Holiday, IL; sisters, Cora Shrake of Pana, IL and Beulah Sanders of Holiday, IL. She was preceded by her husband, Leonard, parents, son, Dewain A. Krueger, sisters, Nellie Kramer and Ida Turner, and grandson, Joseph Krueger.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home, with Rev. Dick Wamsley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Visitation will be on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home.
