Rebecca Ryals-Stevenson

Rebecca Ryals Stevenson, 86 of Sorento passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 6:12 AM at Greenville Regional Hospital.

She was born September 23, 1921 at Andalusia, Alabama the daughter of the late Willie Eugene and Era (Radford) Ryals. She married Harold A. Stevenson on December 30, 1944 at Boston, Massachusetts; he preceded her in death on June 30, 1984. A son, William Stevenson, 1 brother and 1 sister also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Stevenson retired as a claims representative with Country Companies. She was a member of Kessinger American Legion Post 713 Auxiliary and the Sorento Presbyterian Church.

Survivors: Son, Robert "Bob" (wife, Paula) Stevenson of Sorento, IL; 2 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Doris Jones of Huntsville, AL and Margaret Lawrence of Panama City, FL.

Friends may call on Monday, December 10 from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10 at 2:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home with the Rev. James Howie officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.

In memory of Rebecca memorials may be made to the Sorento Presbyterian Church.
