Rhea "Susie" Sue Hamell

Rhea Sue "Susie" Hamell, 76 of Taylorville, passed away at 2:33 P.M. on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born May 10, 1932 in Taylorville, the daughter of Darrell D. and Anna Catheryne Hoover Hamel!. Susie was retired as a School Teacher and taught at Memorial School for most of her career. She was a Member of the Nazarene Church, Taylorville and National Education Association. 

Survivors include: Brothers: Bill Hamell, Allen (Brenda) Hamell, Ricci (Lisa) Hamell, Tim Hamell all of Taylorville. Terry Hamell, Arizona. Sisters: Joyce (Ray) Brodien, Hudsonville, Michigan, Lou Verda Cavatorta, Taylorville, Maggie Boarman, Nokomis, Beverly (Jim) Sutherland, Xenia, II., Debbie Hamell, Florida. Several nieces and nephews 

She was preceded by her parents, grandparents, brothers: Bob Hamell and Darrell Hamell and sister Patty Hamell. 

Visitation will be Monday, November 10, 2008 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Nazarene Church, Taylorville with Funeral at 11:00 a.m. at the Nazarene Church with Rev. Jonathan Maloney officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.
