Richard A. Stockon

Richard A. Stockon, 79 of Morrisonville passed away at 9:58 PM on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born on September 21, 1936 at Taylorville the son of Merle and Julia (Payne) Stockon. He married Gisela M. Vogt on November 30, 1957 at Manheim, Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents; Sisters, Rosemary Frieders, Patricia Surratt and Joyce Surratt.

Richard was plant manager for Anchor Brush Company. He also had worked for 3M Dina Color. He was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church, attended St. Maurice Catholic School and enjoyed building birdhouses. He was an Army veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne Division.

Survivors: Wife, Gisela M. Stockon of Morrisonville, IL; Daughter, Theresa Connolly of New Lenox, IL; Sons, Eric Stockon of Taylorville, IL and Mike (wife, Dorothy) Stockon of Plano, IL; 3 Grandchildren, Justin, Jill and Jacob; Brother, Gerald "Jerry" Stockon of Aledo, TX; Many nieces and nephews and 1 uncle.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville with Rev. Gerald Bunse officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Memorials are suggested to St. Maurice Catholic Church.
