Richard R. Franklin, 53, of Taylorville formerly of Morrisonville passed away Saturday, June 18, 2005 at I0:38 AM at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. 

He was born on November 8, 1951 in Taylorville the son of Galen Lee and Ruth (King) Franklin Sr.; his parents preceded him in death. 
Mr. Franklin was a farmer in the Morrisonville area and operated Franklin Backhoe Service. 

Survivors: Sons, Kenneth G. (wife, Jennifer) Franklin of Princeton, IL, Paul E. and Trevor J. Franklin both of Kincaid, IL; Daughters, Rebekah K. (husband, Adam) Tuite of LaGrange, IL and Naomi L. Franklin of Harvel, IL; Brothers, Galen Lee (wife, Elaine) Franklin Jr. of Taylorville, IL and Alan (wife, Bonny) Franklin of Morrisonville, IL; Sisters, Donna R. Chappell of Franklin, West Virginia, Shirley J. (husband, David) Jones of Butler, IL and Cherie A. (husband, Royce) Van Gerpen of Spokane, Washington; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. 

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 21 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 10:00 AM at the

Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home, with Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery. 

In memory of Richard Franklin memorials may be made to the First Baptist Christian Academy. 

Pallbearers for Mr. Franklin are: Jeff Jones, Matt Jones, Bruce Nation, Sidney Franklin, Rodney Franklin and Dennis Beckmier. 

Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville is in charge of arrangements.
