Robbie Dale Turner, 56 of Vandalia, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at his home, surrounded by loving family.

Robbie was born May 18, 1966, in Cahokia, IL, the son of Jimmy Ray Richardson and Leona Kay Turner.  He married Audrey Yvette Snyrponis in Vandalia, IL on March 22, 2019.

A sharp sense of humor, a quick wit, and generally funny is how most people recall his personality. He was very family oriented and protective. His humor and strength often offered a calmness for his family and friends to feel relaxed, safe, and comfortable.

Mayzie, his dog, and long-time companion was Robbie’s sidekick. They did everything together, where you saw one, you saw both.

Spending days with the family, especially the grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, were among his favorite things to do. He loved to fish, camp, and go boating, to build memories with whatever friend or family member he was with at the time. He was an artist who enjoyed woodworking, piddling with old cars, and old school country music.

Robbie is survived by his parents, Jimmy & Leona Richardson, his wife, Audrey Turner of Vandalia, IL; sons, Robert (Lacy) Turner of Salem, IL and Adam Turner of Vandalia, IL; a daughter, Kaitlin Turner of Anna, IL; grandchildren, Elijah, Jack, Kambri, Nora, Aubrie, Maddie; and siblings, Peggy (Jerry) Bingaman of Oran, MO, Jimmie Richardson, Jr. of McClure, IL, and Patricia (Joe) Williams of Jonesboro, IL.
