Robert "Bobby" Allen

Robert “Bobby” Allen, 72, of Panama, IL, passed away at 7:27 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at his residence.

Bobby was born November 24, 1946 in Greenville, IL, the son of Robert and Genevieve (Hubbard) Allen.  He married Judy Paulette Sue Kinworthy on July 24, 1969 in Sorento, IL, and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage.  She preceded him in death on March 6, 2019.

Bobby graduated from Greenville High School, and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army.  He was a general laborer, working as an operator for over 40 years.  Bobby was a long-time member of the V.F.W Post #6628 in Panama, and Laborer’s Local 1084.  He was an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert, Michael, and James Allen; and brother, Larry Lee Allen.

Bobby is survived by his grandchildren, J.D. (Laura Denson) Allen of Sorento, IL, Leah Allen of Donnellson, IL, and Zachary Allen of Greenville, IL; brother, Ronnie (Linda) Allen of Sorento, IL; sister, Rita (Richard) Hosto of Reno, IL; brothers-in-law, Paul D. (Vicky) Kinworthy of Reno, IL, and Lee E. Kinworthy of St. Petersburg, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation will be provided, and memorial services will be held at a later date.
