Robert "Boone" Gene Daniels

Robert Gene "Boone" Daniels, 52, of Taylorville died at 9:43 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2008, in his home. 

He was born February 24, 1956, in Taylorville, the son of Sherman R. and Beulah B. Rosenberger Daniels. He married Jackie Pipkin on February 12, 2002, in Hillsboro. He worked as grounds foreman at Lincoln Trail Golf Course, Taylorville. 

Surviving are his wife; step-son, Thomas Mohn (companion Bethany Harlow) of Taylorville; grandchildren: Abby Mohn and Seth Mohn, both of Taylorville; brother, Richard (wife Gloria) Daniels of Taylorville; and sisters: Carol Brown of Champaign and Janie Daniels of Taylorville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Johnny. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, in Shafer Funeral Home, with Rev. James Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, in the funeral home.
