Robert E. Hofer

ROBERT E. HOFER, 75, Sorento, IL passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 2:55 PM at Heritage Manor in Litchfield. 

He was born March 26, 1929 in Benham, Kentucky the son of Arthur Hofer Sr. and Sarah (Sauls) Hofer. Preceded in death by a son, John David Hofer; Brothers, James Herschel Hofer and Arthur Hofer Jr.; Sister, Eloise Eluna Ratliff; Grandchild, Chase Delaney. 

Mr. Hofer had been a welder at A.O. Smith in Granite City for 20 years and then as a forklift operator at B-Line in Highland for 20 years. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. 

Survivors: Wife, Joe Alice Hofer of Sorento, IL; Sons, Kim (Reba) Hofer of Sorento, IL, Daniel (Debra) Hofer of Highland, IL and James (Linda) Hofer of Webb, AL; 12 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. 

Friends may call from 5:30-7:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2004 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2004 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento, with Rev. Norman Fenton officiating. 

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family of Robert E. Hofer.
