Robert Leroy Litz

Robert (Leroy) Litz, 61, of Taylorville, passed away at 1 :30 A.M. , Sunday, April 29, 2007 at his residence. He was born on 9-11-1945 in Pana, II., the son of Louis Andrew and Edith Eloise (Mills) Litz. He married Marcia M. Kohl in Taylorville on 10-25-1964. Bob was retired from Caterpillar, Inc after 35 years of service. He is a life member of Taylorville V.F.W. 4495. He served with the 3rd Marine Corp. Division from 12-68 to 12-69 in Vietnam. Leroy was avid sports fan and St. Louis Cardinal (GO CARDINALS). He was also A fan of the Greenbay Packers football. Leroy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Marcia, of Taylorville; Daughter - Karla (husband Harold) Endris of Taylorville; Son - Robert (Robby) and wife Brenda of Springfield Missouri; Grandchildren Brad Endris, Morgan Endris, Halli Endris Step Grandson Ben Endris and Grace Brown. Brothers: John W. (Doris) Litz of Oreana, Carl (Butch) Litz, Pana, James A. (Pam) Litz of Oconee. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Edith F. Litz. 

Visitation will be Tuesday May 1, 2007 at 4:00 pm to 7:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville, Illinois Wednesday May 2, 2007 at 4:00 pm to 7 pm. at Shafer Funeral Home. 

Burial will be at Oconee Cemetery in Oconee, Illinois.
