Guestbook

  1. W. Richard Stephens, Greenville College, Ron was a warm and supportive member of the GC community, and I was honored to serve GC with him for many years. He was a loyal and competent employee and friend. He shared deeply the Christian Higher Education mission of the college. Thank you Ron for your years of service to GC and to our Lord. Blessings on your family.

  2. Very nice, Cindy. The Class of 1967 is observing their 50th Anniversary next year. I personally am spearheading A Memoriam Advertisement in the Greenville Advocate for the 32 classmates–yes 32–who are no longer with us. Their names will be listed alphabetically and I am insisting that the ad will be done in the most excellent taste. It will be a large ad running in late May 2017 at graduation time. Ron's name will, of course, be included. Ron Bimes, New Orleans

  3. Ron will be missed by so many of us…He has always been such a caring, giving and helpful individual! He will always hold a special place in this cousins Heart! Love you Ron….rest in Jesus's arms.

  4. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ron, a 1967 Greenville High School classmate of mine. Even though we took separate paths in life, I fondly remember all my classmates. Rest In Peace, Ron. Sincerely, Ron Bimes, New Orleans

  5. Ron was a kind, gentle,  hardworking and sincere Christian man.  He lived his life diligently serving God and helping others.  He had a servant's heart and didn't seek glory for himself.  His double- portion reward awaited him upon his arrival into Heaven.  He will be sorely missed on earth by all who loved him, but he is now living free of pain, sickness, sorrow, and the heartaches of this sinful world.  I can visualize him walking with Jesus enjoying divine fellowship, as well as, rejoicing as he is being reunited with family and loved ones gone on ahead.  He is living in an abundance of peace.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this sorrowful time.  May God comfort your hearts in the days ahead.

  6. This was shared at the service but I wanted to add it to the memory page. For the past 3 or 4 decades God blessed my husband and I with a dear friend who became more like a brother. Being single, I know he enjoyed the fellowship of our home. A homemade meal or a shared pizza was always something he enjoyed. The Lord does place people in our lives to be like family. Our friend was also a great craftsman, plumber, and electrician with an artistic temperament that meant so much to us and our older home. Ron and I would work together on projects and find so much joy in seeing things come together. We could never pay him enough for the way he cared for our home like it was his own. He really has been a big brother to us. When my mother got her cancer diagnosis 2 years ago, Ron came by on his way to a prayer conference in Branson MO at Prayer Mountain. He brought back DVDs that truly encouraged and blessed her. Ron picked up a rock from Prayer Mountain and brought to back for me to give Mom. He didn't know she was a rock collector and it was very special to her. That was one of the ways I could tell he was led by the Holy Spirit. When something came up like a leaking hot water heater.and Steve and I would be wondering if we should call Ron… he would just happen to pull up in his red truck to the rescue. Countless people throughout this area could attest to the generous labor and timely appearance of this Man of God. I’m reminded of the story of Dorcas in the bible. When the apostles were called to her deathbed they were met with many widows showing them all the things she had made so lovingly for them. Her good works were a testimony of great character. Ron has the same legacy in this town. We will all miss him greatly but I’m certain he is enjoying his reward in Heaven as a faithful servant. Cindy and Steve Collier

  7. The Class of 1967 is observing their 50th Anniversary this year in 2017. We are planning a "In Memoriam" advertisement in the Greenville Advocate for the 32–yes, 32–classmates who are departed in late May. I personally am spearheading this advertisement. It is going to be done in the most excellent and reverent taste with the classmates' names listed alphabetically. Ron's name, of course, will be included.
