Rosa Leigh Jones

Rosa Leigh Jones, 78 of Morrisonville passed away Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 4:10 PM at Meadow Manor Nursing Home in Taylorville.

She was born June 11, 1929 in Seree, Kentucky the daughter of the late Elzora and Lura (Smiley) Williams. She married Jesse O. Jones on October 9, 1945 in Paducah, Kentucky. Preceding her in death were 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker. Her memberships include Morrisonville, Kiwanis Club, VFW ladies Auxiliary in Maywood and Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary in Bellwood.

Surviviors: Husband, Jesse O. Jones of Morrisonville, IL; Daughter, Nancy (husband, Bud) Jones of Taylorville, IL; Granddaughters, Robin (husband, Robert) Riggs of Morrisonville, IL, Tina Scallions (companion, Brian Herman) of Taylorville, IL and Elizabeth (husband, Richard) Peat of Bulpitt, IL; Grandson, Raymond (wife, Danelle) Jones of Clear Lake Oaks, CA; 11 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Opal Pryor of Louisville, KY and Margaret Miller of Harned, KY; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday, December 4 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville with the Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow in Morrisonville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Morrisonville Community Ambulance or the American Cancer Society.
