Rose Schreier

Rose Marie Schreier, 86, of Taylorville passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 8:30 p.m. at Heritage Manor in Pana.

She was born September 17, 1925, at Taylorville, the daughter of Fred and Nettie Pope Koppeser. She married Sterling Edward Schreier on August 18, 1948, at Taylorville. He preceded her in death along with her parents; infant daughter, Barbara Lynn Schreier; sister, Katherine Beard; and grandson, Ian Michael Scully.

Rose was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Taylorville, Women of the Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

Survivors: Sons: David (wife, Janece) Schreier of Los Angeles, CA and Mark Schreier of Taylorville, IL; daughters, Peggy (husband, Danny) Neikes of Mesa, AZ and Susan Travers of Yuma, AZ; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville with Pastor Rodney Blomquist officiating. Burial will follow in Glenhaven Memorial Garden. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.. at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville.
