Rosella Jane May, 75, of Palmer died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006, in Taylorville Care Center.
She was born September 28, 1930, in Blue Mound, the daughter of Glen E. and Lorene Scott Wilcox. She married Donald G. May, Jr. on July 9, 1950, in Blue Mound. He died January 15, 2006. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Palmer Advent Christian Church. She was affiliated with Rebecca and Women Home and Foreign Mission Society and Christian County Lady Landowners.
Surviving are her son, Jeff (wife Terree) May of Palmer, and grandsons: Caleb May and Jordan May. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Daniel Kent May.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, in Shafer Funeral Home, with Rev. George Elder officiating. Burial will be in Harper’s Ferry Cemetery, Palmer.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
