Ruby O. Jenkins

Ruby 0. Jenkins, 90, of Taylorville died at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, in Meadow Manor Nursing Home. She was born December 24, 1917, in Red Boiling Springs, TN, the daughter of William Francis and Ona Bean Price. She married Harley Edwin Jenkins on September 23, 1934. He died March 27, 1976. She was a homemaker. 

Surviving are her daughters: Jo Edith Cobane and Peggy (husband Wayne) Prose, both of Taylorville, Sue (husband Curry) May of Jacksonville and Patsy (husband Jim) Morehead of Decatur; sons: Eddie Jenkins and Stephen Jenkins, both of Taylorville, Ronald (wife Margo) Jenkins of Nokomis, Ralph Lee Jenkins (companion Karen Robinette) of Millersville; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons; two brothers; and four sisters. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, in Shafer Funeral Home, with Rev. Philip Neumann officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
