  16. I knew Sanat in junior high and high school. We were on the scholastic bowl team together at both schools, and I wrote an article on him for the Zephyr on his aspirations to attend IMSA. I remember he took, or at least sat in on, higher level math classes to strengthen his application.

Sanat brought joy and laughter to our scholastic bowl team and his determination and curiosity was integral to his character. He is missed.

  17. I cannot begin to know the emotions and thoughts you are experiencing at this time, but I can share how important Sanat was in my life. He was smart, honest, creative, sincere, and most importantly an incredibly warm and kind individual. Having him with me in classes pushed me to be better, and having him as a friend provided me with a lot of joy. We had many laughs together during the lunch hour in junior high. Though Sanat and I did not keep in touch too much after he went to IMSA, I have always (and will always) considered him a valued friend. My thoughts are with you all during this incredibly difficult time.

  18. Dear Sonali and Family,

Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel in my heart for you. Sending many hugs and keeping you in my thoughts.

  26. As one of Sanat’s law school classmates, I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He was, as all mentioned here, an intelligent thinker and kind soul. We sat next to each other in Civ Pro and formed a study group our very first semester. Sanat was always willing to help, even though we are graded on a strict curve. He was professional and seemed older than he actually was… The wheels were always turning for Sanat, but he kept a level head and had a knowing look on his face. He was responsible and did things to cheer others up if they were feeling down. He had a great smile. He will be missed and the world will be less without him in it.

  27. Shirish, I am so very sorry for the loss of your son! You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers my friend!

Oh they had great plans for their future. They talked endlessly. I remember one outing I was with them and we had went to Cahokia Mounds. I have pictures from that day. 40. सनथच्या अकाली निधनाने मन आणि डोके एकदम सुन्न झालय. ह्या डोंगरा एवढ्या दूःखातून बाहेर पडायला देव आपल्याला मदत करो.

  41. I briefly met Sanat in the summer when he was interning in Chicago. Sanat came across as mature, intelligent, kind and curious. He spoke fondly about his family, his parents and his brother. He admired his parent’s courage to move to the US. He loved his younger brother and felt like a third parent to him. He valued the opportunity to study at IMSA and UIUC. He was passionate about mechanical engineering and cars. I am thankful to have briefly met Sanat – he taught me to be a student of life, to try things outside of our comfort zone, and to appreciate family.

May God give you courage to bear the loss so great. My sincere condolences.

  42. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bhole – I knew Sanat at CERL and remember him as such a pleasant young man. A good friend lost her son and asked that we remember him by doing a kindness for someone else. I intend to do the same in Sanat’s memory. Praying for God’s peace to cover you during these hard, hard days ahead. Melissa Suits.
