Sharon L. Marshall

SHARON L. MARSHALL, 65, of Taylorville, died at 5:26 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. She was born October 12, 1942 in Taylorville, the daughter of William Norton and Edith Spain Van Hooser. She married William (Bill) Marshall on July 13, 1963. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and took care of everyone. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and recently took up quilting. She retired after 20 years of service at Sangamon Paper Co. 

Surviving are her husband Bill of Taylorville, daughter Lenora (Mark) Siegrist of Taylorville. Sons: Ronald (Tracy) Marshall, Taylorville and Phillip Marshall of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Grandchildren: Steffany Siegrist, Shannon (Joe) Hein, Connie Siegrist, Tom Siegrist, Danielle Portwood, Kaitlyn Portwood. Great Grandchild: Johnathan Troy Freeman. Brothers: William R. (Barbara) VanHooser of Stafford, VA., Charles J. (Patricia) VanHooser,, Taylorville Sisters: Rhea Sue(Richard) Beaird, Springfield, Donna (Clarence) McArdle, Taylorville. Several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded by her parents. 

Visitation will be Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville Funeral will be Monday, April 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville, with Father Dan Willonburg officiating. 

Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.
