Stephen J. Gagne, 88, of Taylorville, formerly of Lewiston, Maine, passed away on 2-7-2007 at 7:55 P.M. at St. Vincent Hospital, Taylorville, Ill. Mr. Gagne was born on March 7, 1918 in Stanhope Canada, the son of Odile and Ruth Houle Gagne. He married Eva May Cyr on May 23, 1941 in Lewiston, Maine. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was retired Dispatcher for Dugas Trucking Co., Lewiston, Maine and also was Warehouse Manager for Gagne Distributing, Taylorville, Ill. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic  Church Taylorville, American Legion and V.F.W. 

Surviving are his Wife, Eva May Gagne of Taylorville. Daughters: Lorraine ( David) Judy, Ocala, Fl. Elaine (Frank) Mussich, Danville, PA Lisa (Bill) Owens, Scotch Plains, N.J.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, and son, Michael Gagne. 

Funeral Service will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville, 11. on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Alan 
Hunter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.
