Therese "Tee Tee" Anne Clarke

Therese “Tee Tee” Anne (Crivello) Clarke, of Taylorville, IL, passed away at 5:32 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Tee Tee was born August 23, 1929 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Anthony Bernard “Joe” and Thelma Agnes (Brooks) Crivello. She graduated from Taylorville High School in 1947, and went on to attend Michigan State University, and eventually obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Sangamon State University. Tee Tee retired from Memorial School in Taylorville, where she was a Title 1 Reading Instructor for over 20 years.
Tee Tee was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville, where she ran concessions for all school events for years. She had a passion for writing, authoring multiple books, authoring a column for the Carlinville paper for many years, and submitting editorials to the Breeze-Courier. She took also took great pride in her “Empty Nest” newsletter, that she would send out monthly to her family and friends. She will be remembered not only for being patriotic and the St. Louis Cardinals #1 Fan, but for being the original loving, independent woman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Kevin James Clarke.
Tee Tee is survived by her children, Ric Clarke of Nashville, TN, Anne Marie (husband, Albert) Lotter of Dallas, GA, Terry (wife, JoAnn) Clarke of Elmhurst, IL, Tracy Mahan of Taylorville, IL, and Mark Anthony (wife, Fran) Clarke of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, D.W. Clarke, Douglas William (Honor) Taft, Allison Vaughn (Kasey) Learned, Anthony (Emma) Clarke, Daniel Mahan, Kelly (Aaron) Johnston, Karri (C.J.) Mathis, Jazmine Clarke, Michele Clarke, Taylor Lynn Clarke, and Patrick Ryan Clarke; great grandchildren, Devon, Jackson, Gwyneth, Wyatt, Tage, Leni, Layne, Landry, Maylin, Paxton, and Tesley; and siblings, Mary Crivello of Taylorville, IL, and J.B. Crivello of Monticello, IN.
Cremation will be accorded prior to ceremonies.
Visitation & Memorial Mass: The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial mass at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 108 W. Adams St., Taylorville, IL 62568, with Rev. Msgr. David S. Lantz, celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, and in Therese’s honor memorial contributions may be made to: Christian County Senior Citizens Center, 701 W. Adams St., Taylorville, IL 62568.

For some reason my fondest memory of Mrs. Clarke is when she held an impromptu funeral for Mark’s goldfish. Mark was crying, Terry and Tom McCloud were singing amazing grace….. wow. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Much Love

Sorry for the loss of your wonderful mother, “Tee Tee”. Prayers and condolences to the family.
Rossie and I are sorry that we will not be able to be in Taylorville for her visitation due to some ill health. However we want the family know that we will always treasure the times that we have shared with Therese. I was a high school classmate and we always had a lot of fun planning our many class reunions. She was always one to due her share of the work and more. We will keep her family in our thoughts and prayers.
My sincere condolences to the family. Therese and I were fellow classmates all thru St, Mary’s school and TTHS.
Beside this I also lived at 812 W. Main Cross, just across where Therese these past few years. We had a lot of fun thru those 12 years.
Tracy, Ric, Anne Marie and Albert, Terry and JoAnn, Mark Anthony and Fran, Mary Crivello, J.B. Crivello and all of Tee Tee’s. My care and prayers are with each of you and all of you as you grieve the loss of Therese. I have fond memories of my visits with Therese and how she shared of her love for all of you and each of you. She now rests in God’s loving embrace. May you know God’s peace at this time of loss and grief.
I am sorry that I cannot be with you at the Memorial Mass. I will be at Ruma all day on Friday.
