Tineal D. Fisher

Tineal D. Fisher, 66, of Taylorville, passed away at 4:24 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Tineal was born February 13, 1956, in Springfield, the daughter of Frank and Glenda Marie (Griffin) Kalka, Jr.  She married Kenneth E. Fisher on September 7, 1983, and they have enjoyed over 38 years of marriage.

Tineal attended Taylorville schools, and graduated from Lincoln Land Community College with an associate’s degree in Accounting.  She was a hard worker and spent many years in customer service with Blue Cross Blue Shield in Springfield.  Tineal then went on to work for HSHS Corporation in Springfield in the billing department for many more years.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Tineal was an avid crocheter, and in her youth, she loved riding motorcycles and camping with Kenneth.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and she carried every office for the Eagles Club #1425 in Taylorville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Koty Cook.

Tineal is survived by her husband, Kenneth Fisher of Taylorville; children, Crystal (Mark) Young of Pana, Kent (Kimberley) Cook of Goodyear, AZ, Christopher Fisher of St. Louis, MO, and David Fisher of Mt. Auburn; grandchildren, Mickayla Cook of Taylorville, Vincent Cook of Stonington, David Fisher, Jr. of Springfield, and Isabelle Fisher of Springfield; great grandchildren, Kason Cook and Kaulder Brown; brother, Dale (Monita) Kalka of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home, 202 W. Franklin Street, Taylorville, IL 62568.

Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Meinhart officiating.

Interment will follow the ceremony at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
