Truman Davis Rees

Truman D. Rees, age 80, of Pocahontas, IL passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Helia Healthcare in Greenville. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11 AM at Young Funeral Home. Burial will in Robinson Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call Saturday, November 19, 2016 after 10 AM at Young Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.

Truman was born on November 6, 1936 in Cora, IL to Frank and Virginia (Neace) Rees. He married Judy Fenton on July 1, 1961 in Pocahontas, IL. She died October 16, 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Kapp of Keyesport, IL, his son David Rees and his wife Carolyn of Pochontas, IL, a brother Joe Rees of Cape Girardeau, MO, five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister Darla Koehler.

He grew up in Chester, IL and Cairo, IL. He served in the U.S. Air Force and moved to Pocahontas after his marriage. He retired from Nevco Scoreboard Company after 30 years. He was an Elder at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
