Velma Marie Durbin, 95, of Morrisonville, passed away at 12:48 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her residence.

Marie was born April 12, 1925 in rural Palmer, the daughter of William Frank and Lillie Mae (Skinner) McKinney.  She married Connie Durbin on February 2, 1946, and he preceded her in death on September 2, 1990.  Marie retired from St. Vincent’s Hospital in 1991, after over 20 years of service, and she was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Morrisonville.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Connie Sue Underwood; and brothers, Charlie McKinney and his wife, Jean, and LeRoy McKinney.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Carol Mae Durbin of Morrisonville, Rosanne (husband, Arlen) Olinger of Morrisonville, Kathy Durbin of Morrisonville, and Peggy Jo (husband, Jerry) Anderson of Butler; 9 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Bonacorsi of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive guests from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home, 304 Carlin Street, Morrisonville, IL 62546.

Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville, with Rev. Chad Foster officiating

Interment will follow the ceremony at Anderson Cemetery in Palmer.

  1. I grew up next door to Marie and Connie , I sent a lot of time at their house playing with Peggy and Kathy . To the Durbin family I’m so sorry for your loss , she was a very nice lady . Hold in your heart great memories and she will forever be with you . I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers .
